that the ravens got awaywith a little something there. you could seedecker's upper body move and kind of take a jolt fromcontact before the ball arrived. that doesn't matter. down 7-0, the ravens find themselves nowwith a touchdown lead. they have comeroaring back. you could say that. 14 points for the ravensin the last 42 seconds.

john fox. his team up in a hurryand then down in a hurry. been a while since the broncoshave been behind in a football game. and ray lewis. he knows there's a long wayto go in this football game. meanwhile,peyton manning. he was looking fora flag. you could see him gesturingafterwards.

"what the heck?where's the laundry?" trindon holliday in the end zonefor the kick. will he get a chanceto return this one? he will. from about 5 or 6 yards deepin the end zone. across the 15.across the 20. and out to aboutthe 25-yard line. let's go back.did you see interference, dan? well, when you slow it downin slow motion,

you can certainly see --here's decker. watch him come across. chykie brown, number 23,at the top of the screen, he's gonna come inand pull down decker's left arm before the ball gets there. we're watching itin very slow motion. the officiating crew calls thata bang-bang play, that it was boom-boom, and thatis very tough to administer. it could've been called.it wasn't.

very close. on first down,this is moreno. and moreno stoppedfor no gain. those returnsagainst denver -- the kickoff returnand the interception return -- the only returns against denverall season long. and you look backat how baltimore got the lead. keep in mindthat the big interference call against tony carter thatallowed baltimore to get out

from backed upinto their own end zone. manning throwing outside.and that's complete. we havea penalty marker down as joel dreessentakes it across the 30 to about the 33-yard line. bill vinovich did not goto the microphone. well, that's the signal foran ineligible player downfield. that could happenif you cover up -- if one of the receivers lines upin the wrong place,

then all of a sudden, if he'scovered, he can't get out. he's not eligibleto go out. so denver and manningare now looking at second and 16 from the 20-yard line. looks like the same passto dreessen. and dreessen out of boundsshort of the 30-yard line. that time,you see terrell suggs was actually the baltimoredefender back there in coverage. he is much moreof a pass-rushing type guy.

and when he's called uponto get back in coverage, he does a pretty good jobof getting out there. dreessen's able to makethe catch, but suggs kept him from gettingtoo much. so a big third-down opportunityfor baltimore defensively. manning with time. short one.complete. first-down yardage. jacob tamme, the tight end,to midfield.

well, that startedwith tremendous pass protection by the broncos. peyton manning wentfrom option one, two, to three, and then started going throughhis progression again. and he finallyjust flicks it. a little low,but tamme went down and got it. manning changing things upat the line. moreno for a couple. nice catchby jacob tamme.

you know, it really was. peyton had tokind of throw it sidearm, and it was a little lowand a little behind jacob tamme. and it may look easy, but that'sa difficult catch to make. what's also difficult is onthe baltimore defenders trying to cover somebodyfor that long a period of time. manning on second and 8. sideline. and what a catch madeclose to the 35-yard line.

eric decker went upand got it. eric decker and demaryius thomasare two huge receivers. and when you've got this kindof a height advantage, when you're 6'3"and you can elevate -- and there's a good blitz pickupby knowshon moreno. after executing the fakeand the play-action, he finished his jobby picking up the blitz. the rookie ronnie hillmanis in the backfield now, out on a pass pattern.

but manning going deep. and that is incomplete.fans want a flag. demaryius thomas being coveredby cary williams. the officiating crewdeciding that that's incidental contact,that their legs... i think the important thing herefor cary williams is thatthat was unintentional. he wasn't playingthe ball. if he was playing the ball,

you give him the benefitof the doubt. that should have drawna flag. little pass to hillmanout of the backfield. hillman clockedat about the 32. and we have a penalty markerin the backfield. well, this penalty is goingagainst the baltimore ravens. and clearly, the weather perhaps has gottento bill vinovich's microphone. that's illegal useof hands.

oh, right there. i think they're gonna call it onterrence cody, the nose tackle, who went right to the throatof center dan koppen. that qualifiesas illegal use of hands. pretty good illustrationof how it can get sometimes at the lineof scrimmage. first down, denver,from the 31. the give is to moreno. inside the 30,to about the 28-yard line.

and ray lewisin on the tackle. moreno's still fighting. he's acting like his kneenever touched the ground. let's take a look at the greatray lewis in the middle. and again, look how he justmoves around the block of orlando franklin. he jumpedaround franklin. and franklin barely got a fingeron ray lewis. then ray gets inon the tackle.

i loved when you asked raylast night if he was gonna go withthe bare arms and he looked at youlike you were nuts. [ laughs ] look at the whole team. the whole ravens teamis bare-armed, just about. manning.sideline. going up this time and makingthe grab is demaryius thomas. and that is anotherdenver first down.

and again, he's being coveredby cary williams. and cary williams isa nice-sized corner at 6'1". but when thomas elevateslike this -- look where he's going upto get that football. no way could cary williams go upand play the ball. he's got to playthe receiver. and in that case, there's justnothing you can do about it. broncos intothe red zone. first downat the baltimore 17.

manning throwingto his left again. inside the 10-yard line,to the 9. and thomas comes downwith it. and now it's ruledincomplete. they're saying that it hitthe ground. this is gonna give usa good look at it. right on the handsof demaryius thomas. and he's strugglingto put the football away. and he does not,and it hits the ground.

bernard pollardgets in there and forces him to not be ableto maintain possession. peyton goes,"hey, i delivered a good pass." bernard pollard has separatedhis share of receivers from footballs. keep in mind it's 15 degreesout there. that football isreally hard. this is moreno. and moreno stacked upat the 15-yard line.

haloti ngata. haloti ngata, when we askedjohn harbaugh about him, said, "well, he's maybe playingat about 80%." but right there,great job of shedding the block of chris kuper,the right guard. and i'm talking about sheddingthe block. he just threw kuperoff to the side. when ngata is healthy,he's almost unblockable. and even at 80%, he still goesto another pro bowl,

his fourth. bad knee, bad shoulder,but he keeps playing. manning on third and 8. with time.going corner of the end zone. it is... caught for the touchdown! brandon stokley! the window of opportunity to drop that football into brandon stokley

was about two feet wide. it's gonna be interesting.did he get both feet down? corey graham working on it. take a look atthis concentration by stokley. the knee is down. he maintains solid possessionof the football after he hits the ground. brilliant throw and receptionby brandon stokley. first of all,look at this pass from manning.

the ball doesn't wigglea bit after he hits the groundout of bounds. what a beautiful piece of workby 18 and 14. nothing like a littlegive-and-take to startthe divisional playoffs, huh? as you and i were talking --it's 14s wild. the score is 14-14,and the temperature is 14. i'll say this --we were worried about, how much was the passing gamegoing to be affected today

because of the extremely lowtemperatures? and the answer is, well, so far,apparently not very much. from flacco throwingdeep bombs, peyton manning workingthe intermediate stuff, it looks good. jacoby jones hoping to returnthis one. and he will. brought downat about the 17-yard line. 3:58 to play in a 14-14 game,first quarter.

ray rice. no running room at allon the left side. ray rice is gonna followhis fullback, vonta leach, who tries to get aroundthe corner, and he does. he gets on wesley woodyardand kicks him to the outside, but there wasjust too much pursuit. and here's this newoffensive line of the ravens. they unveiled it last week,and i think it's a great move. these are the bestfive players.

flacco. complete.across the 20 is ed dickson. out across the 25 to the 27,where von miller makes the stop. one of the thingsjoe flacco told us was that"we're gonna have to complete "a lot of shorter passesagainst denver and hope that our guys get somegood yards after the catch." he was under a lot of pressurein that first game, back on december 16th.

they figure they're gonna haveto get rid of the ball quickly in this game. but that's a good wayto buy yourself a little time -- move the pocketleft to right, buy your quarterback a good lookat the field, and buy himsome extra time. new set of downs for the ravensat the 28. end around.here comes torrey smith. and smith run out of boundsat about the 28-yard line,

at about the line of scrimmage,by wesley woodyard. well, end aroundseither end up being a home run or not much of anything. and this fell into the"not much of anything" category. and wesley woodyard showsthe great range and speed that has made himdenver's leading tackler. he covers a lot of groundin a hurry. i think he surprisedtorrey smith with how quicklyhe got there

and the ferocitywith which he arrived. wesley woodyard,who wears number 52 because he's crazyabout ray lewis and the way he has playedthe game. flacco.penalty marker is down. denver was offsides. ray rice with the catchand is knocked down. yeah.denver was offsides. i think they were inthe neutral zone.

and the ravens are the onestrying to acclimate. it's a question of how much oxygen can you getin your lungs. it's also you got to reallyfight to not become dehydrated, so getting lots of fluids isa big part of the deal today. quick pitch.that one is complete. inside the 45 to the 43is dickson. i like the gamejim caldwell is calling so far for the ravens --a little bit of everything.

really trying to keep this really fast denver defensein check and make them honortheir responsibilities before they start runningto the football. a lot of misdirection,flacco rolling out. the end around didn't work,but it serves notice that "we're gonna try to breakcontain different ways." the first quarter has beena dandy here in denver. an action-packedfirst quarter.

14-14 as we beginthe second. baltimore, third and 2at the denver 43. bernard pierce in the backfieldwith flacco. and flacco gonna go deepdown the sideline. has a man open! it is ruledincomplete. torrey smith. i think even if he'd haveheld on to the football, he was out of bounds.

i don't think when he comes downwith this football... yeah, his left foot wasn't ableto get down in bounds. well, it was close.it was really close. but he lost possessionof the football anyway. that would've made itvery interesting if they'd have takena close look at that. jim leonhard is deepfor the broncos. and that is a very short puntby sam koch, but it getsa baltimore roll.

face mask. defense, number 50. 15-yard penaltyfrom the end of the run. you can seethat's dannell ellerbe that gets a handthat grazes the face mask. here's ray lewis workingin the middle of the field. and ray coversa lot of ground. he has to to get over thereto make the tackle. so that was really not muchof a face mask.

but he did grab it.you got to call it. moreno to the 34. and another markerin the backfield. holding.offense, number 73. 10-yard penalty. repeat first down. that's chris kuper,the right guard. chris kuper has missedthe last four games with a bad left ankle,

and they're happyto get him back. and he's hada hard-luck season. remember, he missedthe first four games of the year with a forearm injurythat he got in training camp. so chris kuper just havingtrouble staying healthy. but when he is healthyand in the lineup, the offensive-line playof the broncos is just vastly different --much improved. manning nowwith a first and 20.

crossing pattern.he's got him. across the 20 to the 22.brandon stokley. and ray lewisjust sitting there waiting for that shortcrossing pattern. not fooled one bit. that's ray's zone. he's just gonna sit there andwait for somebody to show up. and he i.d.s stokley runningabout a 3-yard pattern. that's fish in a barrel.

as you alluded toat the start of the day, dan, this is notthe same defense that peyton manning faceda month ago in baltimore. another crossing pattern.this one complete to dreessen. and dreessen outto close to the 30-yard line. it'll beabout a third and 10. at leasthe gets back to -- you don't want to saythird and 10 is manageable, but at leasthe picks up --

and a good blitz pickupthat time by jacob hester. he picks up dannell ellerbecoming in, again, after the ball fake. the ball fake is only partof your responsibility. jacob hester, who they didn'tsign until late november, has beena really nice addition. manning again with timeand throwing. and incomplete.intended for stokley. corey graham wasthe baltimore defender

and forced peyton manningto go low with that throw because of the coverage. again, there's ray lewis. he runs up right the field and ends up destroyingterrell suggs in the process. well, it ended wellfor baltimore, with a punt. jacoby jones. and now shifting over and makingthe grab is tandon doss. and doss is brought downalmost immediately,

at the 19-yard line. by josh bynes,his own player. look at what the ravenshave done on offense as they get set to beginat their own 19-yard line. dan, i'm curious -- in weather like this,when you played, did you cover upyour arms? no. show-off.

well, i might havelater on in my career. i might have wimped out one timeup in minnesota. i can't lie. flacco to throw. got his manacross the 30. and that's dickson,the tight end. throwing the ball very wellso far today. yeah, and a big partof the reason is the fact that mckinnie,osemele, birk, yanda, and oher

are doinga really good job against thisbig-time denver pass rush. bryant mckinniefinally got himself in shape, worked his wayinto a job. and this offensive line,so far in this game, off to a good start. this is bernard pierce. at the 35. wesley woodyard.

woodyard comes in, no wrap-up.[ laughs ] nothing even attemptingto wrap up, but a big collision. watch woodyard scraperight into the hole. and that is a put-down. but you know,that's one of those deals that can look goodbut backfire on you. if the running backdoesn't go down, he could take offand burn you.

flacco to throwon second and 8. gonna go deep down the middleof the field! overthrew torrey smith. well, joe flaccohad an opportunity because, again,torrey smith gets separation. and that's champ bailey againwho's in a chase position. and after this playwas over -- champ not getting any hit at allon torrey smith at the line of scrimmage.

that would've been a glide-intouchdown for the ravens if joe flacco was ableto deliver that right to smith. that's twice that the greatchamp bailey has been smoked. third and 8. flacco on the move. and threw it away. you know, dan,you're right. and champ bailey wasvery optimistic about his ability to be ableto control torrey smith

when we spoke with him. the denver defensive schemeis based around champ bailey not needinga safety over the top. they think that hiscoverage skills are good enough to go it all alone, and the safety normally rotatesto the other side of the field, away from bailey. well, guess what. they may have to startthinking that a little bit.

jack del rio might have tostart thinking, "maybe i'm gonna have to givebailey a little help." it's a little little lateto change your philosophy, but torrey smithis getting by him. sam kochkicks it away. trindon hollidaysees this one bounce and roll inside the 15and downed at the 14-yard line. we had a conversationwith the two denver tight ends, joel dreessenand jacob tamme.

you mentioned, dan, that peytonloves to throw to tight ends, and joel dreessen's reply was,"peyton loves the open guy." well, joel dreessen had a lotof success with the texans. and he knew manning was herewhen he signed. manning to throw. over the middle. 20. demaryius thomas closeto the 25. he's down to the 23.

that throwfrom peyton manning -- he just flicks it. but it's up in the air,and that's demaryius thomas. i'm sure he would've preferredthat right down on his chest. good catch. and moreno out to about the 27-,maybe the 28-yard line. when we talkedto peyton manning, he was talking aboutno-huddling, but not the slower versionof the no-huddle.

he was actually talking aboutsnapping this football with about 20 seconds lefton the play clock. this baltimore defense has a lotof obstacles coming in here. really, they were on the fieldfor so many snaps -- over 90 of them last weekif you include penalties. and peyton wanted to take theirlungs out for a test drive, see if he couldn't get them backon their heels a little bit. this is morenoout of the backfield. brought downat the 35-yard line.

tackle is madeby corey graham. knowshon moreno has done sucha wonderful job of filling in after the injuryto willis mcgahee. we've already seen himpick up blitzes. he's run the balleffectively. and now, after a fake, he comes outand becomes a good receiver. this is ronnie hillman. and hillman dancing his wayacross the 40

to the 41and a first down. hillman's a rookie, and look athim cover up that football. [ chuckles ] ronnie hillman looked likehe's been taking lessons on how to cover it upfrom woody hayes. he's got both handson that thing as he's goingthrough traffic. and that issmart football. this is playofffootball,

and you do not want to put iton the ground. manning. sideline. complete to decker.first down. and i thinkthis is where manning would really liketo keep this up-tempo. you're into a rhythmoffensively. let's keep this thing moving andforce baltimore to play quick. this is hillman. hillman aheadto about the 46-yard line.

that was the matchupmanning wanted. peyton. whatever peyton said,bill vinovich said, "i know." there is no foulfor excess celebration. ruling on the field --touchdown. well, again, knowshon morenoworking on ellerbe. ed reed not ableto get over there in time. you're not allowed to havea group celebration. and where iseric decker's helmet?

normally, the guy's allowedto celebrate on his own. but the officialspicked that thing up and said,"hey, let's just move on." it wouldn't have negatedthe touchdown. it would have been appliedon the next kickoff. kickoff would've ended upin the second deck. once againthe ravens find themselves on the short endof the scoreboard. 7:26 to playin the first half.

that knowshon morenois a heck of a story for the denver broncos,isn't he, dan? he fumbled in the atlanta gameearly in the season, and then he was inactivefor two months. now, that isa big doghouse. and knowshon moreno was in therefor an extended period of time and didn't get an opportunityuntil willis mcgahee got hurt. and, boy, has he madethe most of it. john fox saidhe did everything right.

he got all of his repson the practice field. never complained.just worked hard. jacoby jones deepfor baltimore. returnable kick. jones from the 4. and tripped up at the 25.falls forward to the 26. let's go back to the tail endof that moreno touchdown catch. eric decker is down here, and he's actually runningfrom the bench.

he wasn't on the field. he was not on the fieldfor the play. so the reality isit's not a penalty. if he would've been one of theplayers who was on the field -- one of the 11 guyson the field -- and removed his helmetand run in for that celebration, that would have drawna flag. but seeing that he wasn't --he came from the bench -- that's okay.

okay. let's see how resilientthe ravens can be. 7:20 to play.they're down a touchdown. flacco over the middle.incomplete. overthrew riceout of the backfield. and he wasunder pressure. he expected ray riceto break upfield, and ray broke offhis outlet pattern. i mean, that'spretty standard stuff. that happens to everybody.

but joe thoughtthat ray rice would see the middleof the field was pretty empty and keep going. this is riceright up the middle. and across the 30,to about the 31-yard line. ray rice a little defensivethis week about the two ballsthat he coughed up last week. and he just simply saidit won't happen again. you know, he doesn't havea reputation as a fumbler.

he's a sure-handedballcarrier. he has fumbledmore often in the postseason than he hasin the regular season. but still,they were fortunate. they won the game anyway. kind of"no harm, no foul." third and 4. flacco gonna roll to his leftand loft it for boldin. knocked downby chris harris.

and baltimore still hasn'tconverted a third down. they're 0 for 4. and chris harris gets awaywith a little contact on anquan boldinas well. but at the end, he goes backand he plays the football. i.d.s itand knocks it away. his defensivecoordinator, jack del rio,with the open arms. trindon holliday backat about his own 20-yard line.

and sam koch drives this oneout of bounds. that's a heck of a punt. omar bolden the injureddenver bronco on that punt. let's go back and take a lookand see what happened to him. his job is to try to blockthe gunner. and when he goes down,he lands really awkwardly, and he somehow damagedthe left shoulder or collarbone,whatever. but he's not interested at allin trying to move that left arm.

there's offensive coordinatormike mccoy, one of the hot propertiesfor vacant head-coaching jobs around the league. and he's hadmultiple interviews. and it'll be interesting to seeif teams are willing to wait. still a lot of vacanciesout there. and morenofor a couple. across the 20to about the 21. kemoeatu makingthe tackle.

again, it is very coldhere in denver. the temperatureis dropping, and it's somewherein the low teens right now. wind chill is about 1,dan. but surprisingly,the passing game, when you've watched it,hasn't really seemed to suffer like you might thinkit would. we've seensome touch passes, and we've seensome good catches.

on second and 8, manning throwing. across the 30-yard line, and that is completeto eric decker. that'll bea first down. and how aboutpeyton manning showing that he can movea little bit, get those 36-year-old legsmoving a little bit? "we'll havea little play-action,

and i'll come outand break contain and set up." and again, a good throwto a sliding receiver. tough to defend that. back to the ground game. and ronnie hillmanbreaking free. out across the 40 and very closeto another first down at the 41. denver has outgained baltimorehere in the second quarter, 127 to 22 yards.

pulls it down.looks the other way. and hits jacob hesterout of the backfield. to the 49. hester played for the chargersfor four years. and when they let him loose, the broncos couldn'tgobble him up quickly enough. and when you signthat late in november -- the 26th --that's great production. that's hester again.

and hester looking forfirst-down yardage. looks like he may beabout a yard short of it. how about jacob hester, who wona high school championship in the superdomein 1999, then he wonthe bcs championship with lsu in '08in the superdome. are you going somewherewith this? [ laughs ] no, but he might. where is the super bowlthis year?

down yonder. moreno withthe first down. that is a great story. but they just love what hesterbrings to this team -- pass blocking, recognition,always picks up the right guy, and a little powerto the run game. good half so farfor knowshon moreno. the running is a littletough sledding for moreno -- nine carries, 27 yards.

that's only 3 yards per. you saw terrell suggs huffingand puffing on the sideline. 3:20 to playin the first half. that pass by manning short ofhis intended receiver, dreessen. peyton readthe baltimore blitz coming, and he got rid of itin a hurry. it was justan inaccurate throw. again, there's ronnie hillman,number 21. look at him come across,get involved.

but he's got courtney upshawcoming right at him unblocked, and he gets rid of itin a hurry and just didn't throw itaccurately. this is hillmangoing around the left side. turning the cornerand out of bounds at the 40. knocked outby cary williams. hillman that timeshowed everybody what kind of quicknesshe's got getting around the edge.

he surprisedcourtney upshaw, who was in good positionbut couldn't make the play. ronnie hillmanthe youngest player in the nfl, at 21 yearsand three months. jacob hester is backinto the backfield. hester with the ball. and tripped up on his wayto the line of scrimmage by terrell suggs. i don't think he's gonna get it.he's gonna be short.

let's seewhere they spot this. and peyton manningwants to go for it. well, it's too farfor a field goal. it's too farfor a field goal. i think this isyour only choice. why punt from the 38-,37-yard line? you got to go for it. fourth and 1. hester straight ahead.diving.

and very close to it. this, if he makes it, it's gonna be by the noseof the football. and bill vinovich gives itto him. and john harbaugh goes,"without even a measurement?" i have to tell you,i didn't think that was a gimme. again, pretty well defendedby the ravens. tough sledding in there. terrell suggs is rightin the middle of that.

welcome back to denver,everybody. while we were away,they did measure. they gave the first downto the broncos. but keep in mind, because this happened outsidethe 2-minute warning and it has to dowith a first down, baltimore couldchallenge this. and i'm sure john harbaughis getting word. and here it comes.

yep. they're gonnachallenge it. baltimore is challengingthe previous ruling on the field of the line to gain. time out. welcome back. bill vinovichis under the hood, taking a look at shotslike this one. the problem with that shotis you can't see the football.

he's got to see somethingcompletely conclusive to overturn the callon the field. right there, when does hester'sknee touch the ground? at first,his knee's not on the ground, and he's still driving. after reviewing the play,the ruling on the field stands. baltimore is chargedwith a time-out and their first challenge. and he says "it stands"and not "confirmed."

the reality is you just couldn'tsee the football from any of those angles, and i don't seehow bill vinovich could have possibly eitherconfirmed it or overturned it given the evidencein front of him. so baltimore downto two time-outs remaining here in the last 2 minutesof the first half. still a good challengeby john harbaugh. denver with 10 first downshere in the second quarter

to baltimore's one. this is hester. to the 33. again, though,what denver is doing is they're runningthe football. that was their 17th run. and that really sets upthe manning play-action. off the handsof demaryius thomas. that will stop the clockwith 1:26 to play.

demaryius thomas really drovecary williams deep. i mean, cary williams is a good3 or 4 yards behind thomas, who dida great comeback, but the manning throwwas just too far to the outside, and thomas not ableto get it. that was a real missedopportunity for the broncos. third and 7. ed reed sitting backin center field, clear backat the 10-yard line.

lots of timeand throwing over the middle. incomplete.batted down. terrell suggs all overjacob hester. suggs in coverage again. hester looking aroundfor a flag. you know, suggs, who really madehis mark most of his career by crashing the quarterbackin the pocket, showing his coverage skills herea little bit this afternoon. and that will bring outmatt prater.

133 total pointsduring the regular season. two career59-yard field goals. this one from 52. what wind we had earlierwas blowing in his face as he attempts this. and that was a knuckleballall the way. kicking here in denver hasits advantages. matt prater 15 out of 20from 50 or more yards, but now 15 for 21.

a good snap.colquitt gives him a good hold. and now baltimore ends up with some really goodfield position. he hits the ground. boy, he hit the groundway behind the football. i mean, he struck the grounda good foot behind the football. and now, with 1:16, the ravens find themselveswith some good field position. keep in mind they only havetwo time-outs

because they burned oneon that challenge. joe flacco with 1:16on the clock. ray ricein the backfield. flacco dodging pressure. throws. what a catch made inside the50-yard line by anquan boldin. sometimes there's no substitutefor being a big, strong guy. and that's exactlywhat joe flacco is. that was oneof the few times today

that he was under duressin the pocket, and he stood in thereand delivered a great pass. flacco throwingin that direction again. and the diving catch madeon the far side of the field by dennis pitta. remember when we were talkingwith anquan boldin about catching the ballin cold weather and he said, "you catch the ballwith your eyes." yeah. and he says,"it makes no difference at all.

"you just dowhat you have to do. it doesn't matterwhat the temperature is." first down nowat the 32 of the broncos. torrey smith! and again champ baileyon the coverage. that was a fantastic driveby the ravens. bailey looks back,finds the football. but look at bailey.he's not able to react. torrey smith is able to pull up,stop his forward momentum

and come backand make the catch. and champ bailey just unableto stop his momentum downfield. torrey smith the guy that athletically was able tocome back and make that catch. how pretty is that? with 36 seconds to play,we are tied again at 21. and, dan,this is amazing because all of our conversationswith champ bailey, he was absolutely convinced thathe could handle torrey smith.

that hasn't beenthe case today. he was always talking aboutgetting his hands on torrey smithat the line of scrimmage, disrupting his route, and after that,he's not much of a factor. torrey smith is justgoing wild here -- 91 yards on two catchesagainst champ bailey. and remember,he was wide open on another one where joe flaccooverthrew him.

you know, john harbaughchallenged that play. and after that,you're going, "it didn't work out for them.here comes denver." and then what a standby the ravens' defense. and then wow.bang -- away they go. apparently the wind haskicked up down on the field. again, let's take a look at thisbaltimore offensive line. and that's just, you know,giving joe flacco -- and with flacco'sarm strength,

he doesn't even have to strideinto the football to coverthat much ground. so now the ball is going to beheld for justin tucker. trindon holliday will letthis one go through the end zone for the touchback. well, for all the problemsthey had teeing up the football, the flags aren't showingany wind, but it is still very coldhere in denver. well, 36 seconds,three time-outs for denver.

how aggressive are theygoing to be? not very. hester. to the 21. and no time-outis called. the teams will leavethe field. it has been a first halfof rebounding from a big play and hitting the other guywith a big play. three ties, 21-21,baltimore and denver.

ray lewis going upagainst peyton manning for the last timein his great career. it is still a cold dayhere in denver. the temperature is now11 degrees, and the wind chillis -1. and denver will get the footballfirst here in the second half. trindon holliday. he'll be able to run this oneout of the end zone from about 4or 5 yards deep.

and right up the middleof the field! and there he goes! holliday! 20, 10. a 90-yard punt return. he follows that upwith a 104-yard kickoff return to startthe second half. oh, the pain john harbaugh must be feelingright now.

trindon holliday starts right,goes left, and then goes right back upthe middle of the field. and once again,a lack of lane responsibility by the coverage unitof the baltimore ravens. and for the second time today,peyton manning, ready to come outonto the field, has to waitbecause of trindon holliday. and john harbaugh,an old special-teams coach, must especially feelthe pain.

oh, how that'sgot to hurt. 5'5" tall. trindon holliday playingreally big today. the littlest guyon the field has madethe biggest impression today. well, he's gottensome good blocking up front. but as you see, he didn't have to breakany tackles on the way there. it's not like he steamrolledanybody.

it isa genuine holliday celebration for the denver broncos. the fans, because ofthe cold weather, wasted no timegoing indoors at halftime. and look --they aren't back yet. no, but they could hear itand probably feel it wherever they werein this stadium about the time that hollidaygot to the 50-yard line. 28-21, denver.

and jacoby jones, who is the pro bowlkick returner for the afc, hoping to get a chanceto strut his stuff. not on this one. it'll come outto the 20-yard line. let's go back to it. holliday gets a great blockthat springs him, from jacob hester. number 40 there in the middleof your screen.

he takes outsean considine. and brendon ayanbadejokind of jumps out of his lane, thinking that holliday's goingto the right. and that createdthat opening. there's hester thereon your left. considine, really,runs into him, but he takes himto the ground. and then ayanbadejokind of overpursued it and jumpedout of his lane.

and brendon ayanbadejois a three-time pro bowl special teamer. on first down, ray rice, who only had six touchesin the first half. second and 8. and rice again. well, solly,i'll tell you one thing -- you can maybe ask flacco if he'll start throwing itover to the left,

but as long as torrey smithis lighting up champ bailey, he's got no reasonto move. and again, i think it all startswith champ bailey. when he getsan opportunity, he's got to get upin torrey smith's face and disrupt himearly in the pattern. he can't get intothis deal of running downfieldwith torrey smith. he's losing that battle.

bailey is out hereat the bottom of your screen on torrey smithon third and 7. first sack of the day. and robert ayers inon the baltimore quarterback. and we have a penalty markerdown on the play. 5-yard penalty. repeat third down. and he does --he guesses on the snap count, and he guesses wrong.

he's trying to get upfieldon bryant mckinnie. and no doubt about that.he was well offsides. so that negatesthe sack. baltimore still looking fora third-down conversion for the first timetoday. keep in mind, they were 1 for 12in that game back in december. well, they're 1 for 16for the season. and here isa third-down conversion. and ray rice down the sidelinefor big yardage.

knocked out of boundsnear midfield. well, as ray rice goes,normally, that's howthis offense goes. i don't think you can countall day on torrey smith carryingthis offense. and that's exactlywhat you need. great block at the pointof attack by michael oher. and then anquan boldinwith a nice kick-out. and dennis pitta getsa good block on miller

at the point of attackas well. and pierce is gonna lose a yardon the play. that's how you setthe edge. nobody was gonna get aroundthat corner on denver. that stacked it up. but that last play, that wasa thing of running beauty. we havea penalty marker. 12 men, defense. 5-yard penalty.repeat first down.

well, a couple of mistakeson this drive by john fox's defense. and again,this is a superb defensive unit. but you don't make it easyon the other guy. and that's jack del rio, the formerjacksonville jaguars coach, who's in his first year herecoordinating. flacco wentwith a quick snap and caught themwith the 12th man on the field.

first and 5. and denver's offsidesagain. this time, i think,von miller. i don't know if they thinkthey've got some cue as to joe flacco's snap count,but they don't. offside.defense, number 58. 5-yard penalty.results in a first down. there's von miller. and again,he just leans down

and tries to get a little jumpupfield on michael oher. but he's in the neutral zoneat the snap. this is really uncharacteristicfor this defensive team to just be handing yardage overto the opponent. the broncos grabthe lead and then suddenly becomemistake-prone on defense. bailey on torrey smith. seven penaltieson the day. and the crowd noisecertainly seems to be affecting

their own defenseinstead of baltimore's offense. and the ball'son the ground. loose ball coveredby denver! keith brooking,the middle linebacker. the ball is on the ground, and joe flacco looks like he'sgonna be able to get the ball. but then it gets kickedby one of his teammates. and you see a little pushingand shoving here. joe flacco's gonna be ableto recover this ball

when it hits the ground. it's a fumbled exchangeright there. and then you see the ballgets kicked away from him. looked like bryant mckinnie'sfoot hit it. at the very startof the day, i asked you about cold-weathereffect on the teams. and you said one of the thingsis the exchange between the centerand the quarterback. no doubt about it.

anyone who handles the footballin this type of environment, you've just got to staywith it. two veteran guys -- matt birkat the center position. baltimore lost five fumblesduring the regular season. this is the third fumblethey've lost in this postseason. keep in mind,flacco had a fumble in the game back in decemberon a quarterback sneak. knowshon moreno. to about the 48.

ray lewis and ed reed combiningfor the stop. ray lewis, since he was draftednumber one back in 1996, how many times have we seen himable to rally a defense to overcome a mistake bytheir offense and make a stand? we have been watching ithis whole career, and that's rightwhere this defense is right now. their offense madea mistake. they gave great field positionto denver. can they get it done and forcedenver to kick it away?

penalty marker flies.and another. ray lewison brandon stokley. pass interference.defense, number 52. spot foul. well, ray lewis again,just sitting -- we saw itin the first half, where he made a good tackleon stokley after stokley caughtthe ball. but ray lewis this time,

he just didn't thinkhe could run with stokley and just reached outand grabbed him. that was a conscious decisionon ray's part. yardagewise,it wasn't that big a deal. this isronnie hillman. and hillman... another late flagin the backfield. holding.offense, number 77. that was a holding callon denver.

the broncos now havea first and 20. their eighth penalty. denver is just reallynot playing very disciplined footballhere in this second half. thank heavens for holliday. manning throws.bounces it. well, paul kruger forcedthat throw. if peyton manningwould've put that ball where it would've beencompleted,

paul kruger would've runinto the end zone with an interception. kruger there on the right, 99,unblocked. i mean, yeah,he's right there. peyton has to throw that lowand away. that was a smart moveby manning and a good piece of work bypaul kruger forcing the issue. paul kruger has been a forcefor the ravens in the second halfof the season --

7 1/2 sacksover his last eight games. second and 20. he's really the only realeffective pass rusher they have. terrell suggs,coming back from the achilles', he's just not as explosiveas he was. manning.he goes down. and another penalty markeris down, and the ball is loose. and the minute i say that,there's suggs right at his feet. [ whistles blowing ]

ravens say they havethe football. and an official agreeswith him. now let's check the flag. [ crowd booing ] peyton says,"not so fast." illegal hands to the face. defense, number 55. so that negatesthe fumble recovery. the penalty is onterrell suggs.

terrell suggs is thereon the left, working againstryan clady. and where are the -- boy, that was brief. you can see clady's headgo back. but it looks to me like his handis more on the shoulder pad and down a little lower. i didn't see the handactually up in the face. that was a pretty ticky-tackcall against terrell suggs.

there's still a discussiongoing on amongst the officials. remember, in the postseason,it's not an officiating crew that's been togetherall season long. here we go. okay. there are two fouls onthe play, both on the defense. illegal hands to the face.defense, number 55. that penalty is declined. illegal hands to the face.defense, number 29. that penalty is accepted.

5 yards from the previous spot. well, the oneagainst cary williams is the onethat's being accepted. and i can only imaginehow this is being received in baltimore right now. about the same way it's beingreceived on their sideline by john harbaugh --not very well. that would've been a huge play,a turnover, that gets negatedby the two penalties.

the officialsare still conferring, not freeing the teamsto play yet. this is on the far sideof the field. that is chykie brownon demaryius thomas. i don't know.i couldn't see a flag in the... since denver fumbled the ball, we have to go from the spotof the end of the run. it'll be 5 yardsand an automatic first down from that spot.

so this is all just trying todetermine the proper positioning for the first-down playfor the denver broncos. so they've movedthe line of scrimmage back. and peyton manning -- he wasactually down on the ground. his knee was on the groundbefore that ball came out. that would have beenoverturned. so the line of scrimmageis the denver 42. hillman. squeezes through the middle.across the 45, to the 47.

and dannell ellerbein on the tackle. well, that took a long timeto sort that out. and again,peyton manning going no-huddle but not goingreally quickly. broncos trying to capitalizeon a flacco fumble. manning.incomplete. intended for decker. covered by ellerbe. and dannell ellerbe --man, has he stepped up.

and you talk to denver and ask them about who standsout on the ravens defense, and they'll tell youthat it's dannell ellerbe. and look at that movehe makes. gonna work in his zone. he rollswith the receiver and then breaks off,comes back inside. beautifully done. ellerbe one of thosewho didn't play a month ago

in the game in baltimoreagainst denver. third and 5. and that won't get themanywhere near a first down. you know,before this all started, we talked about how many timesthat we've seen ray lewis get his defenseto get this done. and that's exactlywhat they did. it's exactly what they did --forcing a denver punt. good workby the baltimore defense,

even with a couple penaltiesalong the way. that's tandon dossback at his 10-yard line. not very oftenon third and 5 you see peyton manninghand it off instead of trusting himselfto get it done throwing the football. britton colquitt. doss is gonnalet this one bounce. inside the 5 and coveredat about the 2 1/2-yard line.

matthew willis. 9:45 to playin the third. this denver crowdis alive. they see an opportunity for the defense to capitalizeon field position. first down from their own 3for the ravens. pierce. to about the 5or the 6. let's go downto solomon wilcots. solly.

wilcots:guys, at halftime, i talked tohead coach john harbaugh. he said that joe flaccohad some success throwing the ballin the first half. he believes denver will have tocommit a safety to the back end. they should get the looksup front and be able to poundthe running game -- lots of ray rice,lots of bernard pierce. thanks, solly. he did want to make sure

ray rice establishedthe running game today. rice has nine carriesfor 46 yards. no receptions. second and 7. vonta leach. out to about the 8. well, vonta leachisn't a primary ballcarrier by any stretchof the imagination. he only had nineof them

during the courseof the entire regular season. but sometimes he's beenan effective change of pace. right now, though,third and 4. be careful of dumerviland von miller getting a good jumpon the ball. joe flacco's been getting themoffsides. let's seeif he can do it again. champ bailey on torrey smithat the top of the screen. on the slant.

and torrey smith to about the 15for a first down. that's a good, crisp patternby torrey smith and a very decisive,good throw. and again,champ bailey back on his heels. and the abrupt cut inside onthe quick post by torrey smith really left champ baileystruggling to keep his feet. ray lewis looks like he'sbleeding on his right hand. here is bernard pierce. pierce brought to a stopby wesley woodyard.

he's got the training staffworking on his ring finger there on the right hand. you thinkhe feels that? no.not as cold as it is. on second and 6,this is pierce again. pierce had himself a terrificday against indianapolis last week --13 carries for 103 yards. there you get a good lookat his finger. pretty banged up.

there goes pierce off and ray rice back outonto the field. he's got a knee problem. he missed a couple daysof practice this week -- bernard pierce. third and 3. looking.throwing. he just throws that away.he had no choice. he was being runout of bounds,

and he had nowhere to gowith the football. he did a good jobof getting outside. he gets awayfrom kevin vickerson. but then again, couldn't finda receiver with any separation. there's that mantrindon holliday. i might be trying to kick thistoward a sideline. i'm not sure i'd be interestedin hitting a huge, high punt. fair catch called forand made at the 25-yard line. you lookat today's leaders.

and keep in mind,these two teams fighting for a berth in theafc championship game next week. today's winner plays the winnerof tomorrow's matchup between the patriotsand the houston texans. manning 1 for his last 6throwing. complete to the 35. joel dreessen. very closeto a first down. right between ray lewisand corey graham.

peyton manning lookingall the way for joel dreessen. and he gets right into themiddle of that baltimore zone. just because peyton manning hasa one-touchdown lead doesn't meanhe's going to abandon throwing the ball all overthe field, as he's used to. no, but peyton manning will takewhatever he gets. and if baltimore is gonnasit back in nickel, he will runthe football. he knows he's sittingon a lead.

he's more than comfortablehanding the ball off time after time. and nothing there in the middleof the field for hillman. let's see if he has enoughfor the first down. dan, if this is short,what's john fox doing? well, they're gonna come outfor a measurement. that's what they'regonna do. when you've got the number-twodefense in the nfl, you don't turn the ball overat your 35-yard line.

if it's fourth down,you punt this ball away. you don't throw your defenseto the hounds. not when you've gota touchdown lead. wow. first down,and not by much. by about one linkof the chain. that was it. and again, john harbaugh --the spots and the measurements just have not been goingthe ravens' way.

again, peyton manning's got themup at the line, ready to go. this sideof the field. batted away.incomplete. and decker wants a flagon williams, but that waspretty good timing. again,you talk to officials, and they use the term"bang-bang." in super slo-mo,maybe it's a hair early. that is very seldom gonna drawa flag.

that's just good defensive workby cary williams. boy, you got to be patienton defense against manning. manning under pressure.and throws it away. it was haloti ngatacoming right up the middle. and he ends up puttingpeyton manning on the ground, and peyton comes away with alittle bit of the mile high turf on his face mask. and ngata just getsa great whiff on chris kuper, the right guard.

and i knowit must really be something to have a guy the sizeof haloti ngata jump around you. and his acceleration, his athleticismis just extraordinary. 6'4", 340 pounds. and peyton wearing a littleof the turf on his helmet. third and 10. and here comesthe blitz. manning on the move.throwing sideline.

there's a late --really a late flag thrown in. holding. offense, number 73. 10-yard penalty.still third down. that negatesthe first down. chris kuper isthe guilty party. there it's 73,chris kuper, right on the right sideof your screen. he just flips kemoeatu overonto his back.

part of that flag was kemoeatuflipping over like that. there's peyton manningspreading the football around, letting everybodyget involved. and again, demaryius thomaskind of sticks out there with only two receptionsfor a total of 20 yards. so now another opportunityfor the baltimore defense. third and 11. manning needs the 44of the ravens for a first down. nine penalties already on denverin this game.

and returned 98 yardsfor a touchdown. first and goalfrom the 4. diving to the 1. that's exactlywhat the ravens -- solomon wilcots told us that john harbaugh wanted toreally run the ball here in the second half. another double team --mckinnie and osemele -- and ray rice comes right inbehind it.

a little old-fashionedpower football. dirt. mud.got it all going on. follow 44to the football. down shortof the goal line. and we have 50 seconds to playhere in the third. when they get inthat "i" formation, you know vonta leachis gonna lead ray rice. but that time it just wasn'textremely well blocked. jackson was standing in the holeand tackled rice.

willis was the ninth differentreceiver hit by manning today. now a big third down defensivelyfor the ravens. the wind chill right now -- -3,in the negative numbers. manning looking left. throwing.incomplete. and a late flagcomes in. john harbaughis speechless. cary williams, the defender in the vicinityof demaryius thomas.

prior to the pass, holding. defense, number 29. 5-yard penalty.automatic first down. so they're calling thisdefensive holding prior to the ballbeing thrown. you just can't keep your handon his shoulder pad and ride him all the way downthe field like that. that's an invitationto be called for holding. it had nothing to dowith after the ball was thrown.

you just got to get your handsoff the receiver. you got 5 yards. now, i didn't see him yanking.you didn't see his body move. but you're just invitingthat flag. first downjust inside the 30. hit hardand down to the 25. let's go backto that last pass play again. yeah.look at it again. right here he's gothis right arm on the hand.

if things are beginning to pileup on that baltimore defense that may be gettinga little tired. first of all, this is just goodopen-field running by decker. making people miss. he got cary williams right thereto stutter-step. but you're right. this is a short week,a long way, 5,280 feet, 7 minutes leftin the ballgame. this is where baltimorehas to fight through this.

and the fatigue started to showon the baltimore defense. missed tackles. missed tackles rear theirugly head when fatigue sets in. here comes ray lewis, and he just can't getto demaryius thomas. thomas, a quiet ballgameup this point. denver -- three red-zone trips,three touchdowns today. the 10th time this year manning has thrown threetouchdown passes in a game.

on first and second down. he's been having successwith the ground game. they just couldn't get itblocked. nothing wrongwith that play call. baltimore 3 for 9on third down. play clock -- 2, 1. and they getthe snap off. flacco throwing over the middle.wide open is boldin! boldin to the 45,to the 47 and a first down.

that's a mistake, obviously,by the denver secondary, as they just releaseanquan boldin. mike adams, the safety,is way up. there was some confusion therebetween bailey -- again, it's impossible toidentify whose fault that was. but geez.talk about turning a guy loose. baltimore's first first downhere in the fourth quarter. what a catch insidethe 40-yard line by boldin. and goto your money receiver.

i know torrey smith hadthe big first half, but anquan boldinis just money. this guy's so physical,so clutch. von miller looked like he hadsome sort of a muscle spasm. he's come out of the game. they stretched him outa little bit. it happens right after he makescontact with joe flacco. you know, he looks fine, and all of a sudden,he clutched at his lower back.

i would expect he's gonna beback out on the field pretty quickly. the 2011 nfl defensive rookieof the year. d.j. williams replaces himon the field. and that used to bed.j. williams' job until he lost itto wesley woodyard. and movement up front.that was kelechi osemele. vinovich:false start. offense, number 72.

5-yard penalty.still first down. right tacklemost of the season. just recently shiftedto left guard. and he jumpedtoo soon. i think he'sa natural guard, the way he playswith such power. and i don't recallthe ravens having another false starttoday. they've handled this crowd noisepretty well

but still,he's got to be deeper than that. we're tied again. his first catch of the dayis a dandy. i mean, first of all,take a look at carter. he's playingthe short underneath. and it's a stutterand go. but rahim moore's got to bedeeper than that. that's his play. that's his responsibility,the deep outside like that.

i mean, that is just --that's unthinkable that a safety could misplay thatto that extent in this situation with this amount of time leftin a football game. i mean, rahim moore -- he'll be kicking himselffor a long time. and i'm sure that jacoby jonescould not believe his good fortune,that he was that alone, given the fact that we're insidea minute left in a game

and they're gonna look at thisupstairs again. because that ball appearedto touch the ground. what referee bill vinovichis gonna be looking at is anquan boldin hereas he goes to the ground. the ball is gonna hitthe ground, and it's going to -- and the question is, is thatgoing to aid him in the catch? the ball can touchthe ground if you have firm controlof the ball. but i'm not sure that's the casewith anquan boldin.

what do you thinkthis is? i think it'san incompletion. i think it's gonna be ruledincomplete. i think the ground aided himin making the reception. right there you seethe ball moved. it looked likeit even separated from his hand on that last look. i mean, a tremendous job by both woodyard and boldingoing after that football.

this, i think, will bevinovich's definitive look. that boldin loses controlof the football. the only question is, does heregain firm control of it before he goesto the ground? it just looksto me like -- if he regained control of thatball before he hits the ground, they'll give it to him. the receiver had the ball pinnedwhen he went to the ground. i mean, these areextremely close calls.

that's a call, i think,that could have gone either way. anquan boldin -- now six catchesfor 70 yards on the day. and baltimorehas now converted four of its last fivethird downs. everybody's gota different opinion. it just looked to me likethe ground aided anquan boldin in making that catch. i agree with you. first downfrom the 33.

at running backfor denver, we haven't seen him herein the second half, as he's been forcedto the sideline. and the rookie ronnie hillman,jacob hester, and lance ball have all been taking turnsin the denver backfield. hester's the guy now, and he's the best pass blockerof that trio. manning with a thirdand 5. good protection.

outside. diving grabat the 30-yard line. yes.to brandon stokley. talk about having to come backfor the football. that ball from manning lookedlike it wasn't gonna get there. and stokley -- he has tocome back and dive for that. at that angleright there, it looked like he kept itoff the ground. and we get a whistle.

it might have been buzzedfrom upstairs prior to the snap. the previous playwas under review. the page camebefore the snap. peyton had the right idea,didn't he? the official upstairsin the replay booth buzzed down. from that angle,it looks like a catch. let's take a look at itfrom here. he's got the right handunder the football. and stokley looks likehe keep--

dannell ellerbewith the stop. i'll say this aboutronnie hillman as a rookie -- he sure understands what a turnover would doto his football team. he's doing a really good jobof covering up that football. you know the ravensare coming after it. he's got 19 carriesfor 73 yards. he didn't seethis kind of a workload coming. dragged downshort of the 40-yard line.

it'll be a third and 1. he had to jumpto avoid dannell ellerbe, who was inthe denver backfield. mr. ellerbe has played a whaleof a football game today. he's a heckof a football player. and you're right --he has played really well. but he looks like he's eitherhaving a muscle spasm or he's gasping for air, which is in preciouslittle supply here.

79 plays run to this pointby the broncos. this is jacob hesterlooking for the first down. and he didn't get there. i'm not surehe did much more than get backto the line of scrimmage. and john fox is gonna bringthe punting unit on? oh, he can't go for itinside his own 40-yard line. britton colquittcomes out. especially --is he supposed to feel confident

pulls it in. and is droppedat the 5-yard line. i'm sure ed reedhandled that ball inside the 10-yard linebecause he couldn't believe that carter was gonna be ableto bring him down. that's the kind of confidencehe has. but, boy, that end zone looksa long way away when you're onlyat the 6. awfully predictable with runningray rice on first down.

that is --i know you don't -- you know, again,look at the field position, but that has becomea real staple on first down -- just a hand-offto ray rice. offensive coordinatorjim caldwell upstairs, thinking aboutsecond and 10. flacco rollingto his left. throwing itdown the sideline! is he in bounds?

it is not.it's out of bounds. mike adams waswell out of bounds. that was close to beinga game-ender. i don't think adams goteither foot in bounds. no, he didn't.they were both out. because if that isin bounds, then you are already inmatt prater's field-goal range. here's where the pressurereally lands right on the offensive lineof baltimore.

how doespeyton manning do in the postseasonovertime sessions? he's 0-2. out in the flat. ronnie hillman escapesthe first tackle. stayed on his feet. spun it across the 10,to the 12. well, check out this moveby hillman. that jump cut.

reverse course,go out the back door. and that's a big playwaiting to happen. and again, ronnie hillman --21 carries already on this game. he's up to 83 yards. and that was not a workloadhe was expecting. once again.and this time he goes nowhere. he is hit right awayby dannell ellerbe. we duck under 2:30 to playin this first o.t. yep. and again, greg just said"the first o.t."

we will keep goinguntil there is a winner, regardless of how manyovertime periods it takes. and we have a stoppage of playon the field. and we're gonna geta measurement for a first down. jacob hester in the backfield.third-down specialist. a lot of beef thereon the right side. decker in motion. hester.straight ahead. and would appear to have enoughfor the first down.

ronnie hillman, who is gonnasleep really well tonight. and again, for a young player,he's a bit of a liability when it comes to protectingthe quarterback. but other than that,he's given the broncos a lot of good football herethis afternoon. wasn't ronnie hillmanthe one who told us he's more afraid of peytonthan the coach? that's exactly right. manning on secondand 6.

on the move. throwing acrosshis body! and that is intercepted! intercepted by baltimore'scorey graham! and that is a mistake that you don't seepeyton manning make very often, rolling to his right andthrowing back across his body into the middleof the field. paul krugerwas chasing him.

and again, stokley reverseshis field, comes back. but that was justa great piece of work by graham not giving up. he shadowed stokleyall over the field. that is not peyton manning'sstrong suit -- throwing the footballon the move like that, and especially coming backto the middle of the field. you got to give corey grahama lot of credit, though. that was just a tremendous playon his part.

and great work by kruger puttingmanning in a vulnerable spot. and a tired defensehas given the ravens a chance. 51 seconds to playin this overtime. flacco back.throwing. batted at the line. there's the changeof pace, where on first down,they go to the air. and it ends upgetting batted. i like the play call.

that was better than justa hand-off to ray rice. but now, unfortunately,with the bat, second and long. justin bannan got a handon it. he spent four yearswith baltimore, from '06to the 2010 season. second and 10. tight ends have hurt denverall season long. rice.running room. inside the 40.

inside the 35!look at the leg drive. well, look at the great workby marshal yanda. marshal yanda,he should get an assist for about another 3 yards. because ray ricegets stood up. and watch the hustlefrom the pro bowl guard. look at yanda come in thereand move the pile. great workby marshal yanda. that's good hustle.

and that's very,very alert football on his part. voted to his second pro bowlthis year. he's another oneof those ravens that didn't play in that gameback in december. we have come to the endof the first overtime period. baltimore... getting really, really close. you're wondering about thestrength of justin tucker's leg? he has a 56-yard field goal,a 54-yard field goal,

and kicked a ball. and champ bailey had that"what's up with that?" look. i don't know that there'sany rule against it. obviously, the officiating crewhad no problem with it. i've never seen it before.that's for sure. not much therefor ray rice. the entire officiating crewwatched him do it, so apparently they foundno fault with it. now third and 7.

for the second straight year, for the third timein five years under john harbaugh. one of the grittiest winsby a football team that i have seenin a long, long time. what the ravenshad to overcome -- playing at altitudeon a short week on the road againstthe number-one seed -- remarkable performanceby the ravens.
