East West Shrine Game Roster, but it's the site of most of the week's activity...... of course......a signigicant portion of their
time has been spent over at dorman high as they have two practices a day..... we have 13 players from our viewing area in the game......12 of them for the south carolina squad known as the sandlappers including westside quarterback jackson
williamson .....who's a legacy in the game as his dad was on the 1990 palmetto state team that lost by three to north carolina......which is called the tar heels in this contest............. the north carolina team won last year as well....54-39 .....in
the highest scoring shrine bowl of all time to snap a three-game south carolina winning streak.....although the palmetto state leads the all-time series 44-to-31 and there have been four ties..... as you noted .....it's the 80th shrine bowl with the
first being played in 1937.....and it was much different compared to last year ..... as the teams played to a scoreless tie...... since that inaugural game, over $75 million has been raised for shriners hospitals.....and this week's
activities also included a visit by the players to the kids at the greenville shriners hospital on sunday....
