ahoy! here's the video i promised last week: how to reduce your ping. first of all, let's see what ping is. it is the time your actions in the game take to reach the server. the lower, the better. you can see your ping in the bottom right corner of the screen. a green dot usually means good, but there's always room for improvement! i would still recommend trying these steps, even if your ping is under 50ms. high ping makes the following actions difficult:

so the first step: you need to open the command prompt (also knows as cmd). i'll be demonstrating that on windows 7. i'm not sure how to do that in windows 8 or 10, or other operating systems, but it should be similar. also, you need to have administrator rights for this to work. press the start button, and type "cmd" in the search field, and wait for the list to appear. then right click on cmd.exe and press "run as administrator". then type this and press enter. i've got them in the description, if you feel like copying.once you've done that, there's another command. type it and press enter again. if you're curious about what these commands do, check the video desciption. the short version: they reduce your ping. now, if you've had enough, restart your computer and you're done. or if you are interested in a more advanced, and more effective way, then continue watching. open your favorite web browser and search for "leatrix latency fix". the link is also included in the video description. it's a little program that does the whole process for you. it edits a few registry entries in your system, that can greatly reduce lags.
